Sonic Boom Festival of New Music
Vancouver Pro Musica presents its annual festival on March 14th-15th, 2025– an exciting and eclectic event of new music, composed for various chamber ensembles, by living Canadian composers. “Lost Lake”, for piano trio, by Elizabeth Knudson will receive its world premiere as part of this special event. Featuring Carina Vincenti- violin, Alex Kramer- cello, and Noel McRobbie- piano.

The Sound of Dragon Ensemble presents an evening of new compositions by Canadian composers, written especially for this unique 9-piece chamber ensemble– a mix of traditional Chinese and classical Western instruments. Included in the programme, “Tarasque”, by Elizabeth Knudson, a work commissioned by the ensemble to celebrate the Year of the Dragon, will receive its world premiere.
